Back in September, Northwest Hub posted a short piece on Redmond's efforts to rewrite its Community Development Guide (RCDG) through use of a Code Rewrite Commission (CRC). The City of Redmond recently gave notice that the ongoing CRC meetings will be televised live and made available online at www.redmond.gov.
The CRC is charged with the task of reviewing proposed zoning code updates to ensure consistency with the goals of the RCDG. The CRC is chaired by Steve Nolen (an associate principal at TSI, a Northwest Hub sponsor).
The CRC is scheduled to meet on Mondays from 6 p.m. to approximately 8 or 9 p.m. The meetings will primarily be held in the Redmond City Council Chambers and televised live on RCTV 21 (Comcast) and RCTV34 (Verizon). When conflicts arise with the City's Hearing Examiner, meetings will be held in the City Council Conference Room. Unfortunately, those meetings will not be televised.
The meetings will be replayed on RCTV Arts Channel 75 (Comcast) and 35 (Verizon) at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, 1 a.m. Wednesdays, and 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
For up to date scheduling, visit the CRC page here.
