Highlights from DPD's Monday Land Use Info Bulletin

The Seattle Department of Planning and Development (DPD) released its biweekly land use information bulletin today. The following list provides the highlights. For more detailed information, click here.

Downtown Development Scheduled for Design Review

A six-story building containing ground-level retail and artist lofts with 84 residential units above is being proposed at 1530 11th Ave. in Capitol Hill. The existing two-story brick building facade will be retained and the new building will be built behind it. Project contact Robert O'Malley of Kohler Associates will be presenting the project to the design review board for the second early design guidance meeting on Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Relations and Admissions Building Meeting Room at Seattle University, 824 12th Ave.                             

Rainier Valley Mixed-Use Development Receives Approval

DPD conditionally approved the design review for a mixed-use project located at 4200 S. Othello St. along the central link light rail corridor. The project includes a six-story building containing 17,700 square feet of ground level retail with 370 residential units above. Appeals of the decision may be submitted to the hearing examiner no later than Nov. 2.
