Daniel Lowen, who most recently held the position of vice president for acquisitions at Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, has launched his own real estate investment firm called Caerus Realty Capital. The firm will focus on office, retail and multifamily projects that have been hurt by the current economic climate.

"I believe it will be a buyers' market for the next five years," said Lowen in a Daily Journal of Commerce article. Although there haven't been a large number of distressed property sales locally, Lowen expects the numbers to grow. Caerus will be in a position to focus on expanding its portfolio while "incumbent" property owners and developers are bogged down by their non-performing assets, said Lowen in the article.

The Caerus website indicates the company is providing asset management services for a Seattle property located at 1119 Mercer St. Other services offered by the company include:

  -  Consulting for investors and lenders
  -  Due diligence analysis
  -  Development services
  -  Financial analysis
  -  Market research
  -  Asset management
  -  Hold/sell analysis
  -  Loan workout
